The state of the art library stretching over 8000 square feet, on second floor is a domain for information seekers; be it students, faculty or researchers. It has the capacity to accommodate 400 students at a time. The library is fully air-conditioned. |

The library will kept open from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. on all week days. Besides comfortable seating and reading environment, facilities such as photocopying, fax, word processing, internet kiosks, color laser printing, color scanning, CDs, audio and video cassettes have been provided. There is a separate audio-visual room, computer lab, study cubicles, group study area, private study area in the library. |

The library aims to provide timely, accurate and current information and materials to its users for education, teaching and research. |

Reference Service
Reference service is a personal aid provided to the user by the library staff in interpreting library collection for study and research. The library staff assist the user to locate needed information from the available information resources. On the basis of collection, library provides reference service to its users. |

Photocopier/Fax Service
Through this service library provides photocopies of articles from journals and books to the users as and when there is demand. Further, users can also send and receive fax messages in the library. |

Current Awareness Service
Library has used four main ways to help health science professionals keep current:
- Telephone call.
- Displays of new books/journals.
- Production of library publications, i.e., new acquisition list.
- EPAC access related to library resources any where in the campus.

Audio-Visual Service
Through this service, library provides audio and video cassettes, slide-tape programs etc. (with audio and viewing facilities). |

Computer Service |

The computer lab of the library offers following computer services to users:
- Internet browsing and online journals access.
- Facilities for preparing presentation materials such as slides, transparencies and color scanning.
- Assisting the students and faculty members for editing projects/thesis, data analysis, setting the file to the required quality of print and printing.
- Color scanning, CD writing, DTP with laser printing, color laser printing, NLQ & DOT matrix printing.
CD-ROM Service
The CD-ROM collection of the library contains bibliographical databases, full text databases and A.D.A.M Comprehensive CD). The bibliographical databases include MEDLINE on Silver Platter. Full text databases include back volumes of medical journal articles, medical year books, review articles, text books etc. Departmental Libraries
To carry out the hospital routine work or health care delivery requires some manual and routine references. Hence the department library will help more for routine works, it is usually limited to only routine references. |
